Aadhar Card: Basis For Many Documents
Aadhar Card is not one of those ‘essentials’ that you need in your documents portfolio but can also delay getting until ‘the need’ emerges, for example, a passport. ‘Aadhar’ means basis or foundation. It is a 12-digit unique identity number you must keep close at hand. Like its name, the Aadhar Card is the basis for carrying out various important tasks. From getting a new phone number issued to making your digital wallets operational or availing of several direct benefits transfers, the Aadhar Card is integral.
The intent behind issuing the Adhar Card to all citizens of India was to consolidate a solid citizens’ database without requiring the citizens to reauthenticate their identity whenever the need arises. Thus, the importance of the Aadhar Card will only grow in the future. In such a scenario, one must not lose this essential document.
