The Bottom Line
It is heartbreaking to see how this 62-year-old grandmother lost her life in her quest to protect her minor grand-daughter from this monster. While the investigation is still on, our heart goes to that minor girl, whose childhood has been wounded with the fears of sexual abuse.
As we mourn the death of this brave grandmother, we couldn’t stop ourselves but wonder how could we call ourselves a civilized society. A society where mothers and grandmothers have to sacrifice their lives to keep their daughters safe, is no society at all.
