In a heartbreaking incident, a criminal out on parole allegedly raped and murdered a 2-year-old baby girl. This horrifying incident happened in Maharashtra’s Raigad.
The criminal, who was out on parole, after the crime, dumped the body of a 2-year-old near her house. Post which he fled the scene.
As per the police, the accused Aadesh Patil is charged with multiple crimes, including rape, housebreaking, and theft. He had just been released from jail on parole.
On December 29, the accused entered the girl’s house. While the family was asleep, he kidnapped the baby and took her to a secluded spot. He then raped and murdered her.
Around 2 AM on December 30, the family discovered she was missing. As per the TOI report, Pen councilor Shomer Penkar said:
“Dogs had started barking and howling nearby around 4 am. The great-grandmother followed the howls of the local dogs and saw the accused returning with the child. Aadesh Patil fled the spot after dumping the girl 25 feet away.”
Though the girl was taken to a government hospital, it was too late. She was declared dead. The accused is in custody but it makes us wonder how the authorities’ decision to set him free on parole failed this 2-year-old and her family.
