An innocent teenage girl is struggling for her life inĀ UP. She has lived through a nightmare that no parents want their kids to go through.
The Scary Incident That 15-Yo Lived
When the girl was returning from a marriage ceremony from UP’s Bulandshahr, hardly she knew that it was going to be one of the scariest nights of her life.
While she was returning home with her brother on a motorcycle, the accused hit the motorcycle with their car. As the siblings fell down, the men beat the brother, tied him up and pushed him into a field.
These men kidnapped the teenager and drove away with her. When 24 hours later the girl was found about 3 km away from the spot where she was kidnapped, she was in a critical state.
She was admitted to a hospital where a medical examination was conducted.Ā AccordingĀ to the police, the medical report has confirmed the rape.

What Makes The Nightmare Scarier?
While she struggles for her life, what will shock and sadden you further is the fact that there have been no arrests even after 48 hours.Ā
When NDTV inquired about why there have been no arrests even after 48 hours, a senior police officer posted in the Bulandshahr police chief’s office told NDTV,
“Bhaisahab, policeĀ ko thodaĀ timeĀ to doge, ki nahin?” (Brother, will you give police some time or not?)
TheĀ Bulandshahr police chief N Kolanchi had told earlier in the day:
“The girl is still not totally conscious. We want to speak to her and move further in the case. We will make arrests soon and efforts are on to recover the car,”
What we as parents hope?
Many parents in India are having sleepless nights as there have been so many rapesĀ being widely reported since the infamous Nirbhaya case of 2012. And, there seems to be no end to this shameful trend with minor children being easy targets.
Today, the only question every father and every mother are asking themselves
Are we such an inhumane, sex-starved society that we should be fearful about the safety of our children and our grandchildren every day of our lives?
While we hope this Beti will soon get better and the criminals get the harshest punishment, we can’t resist rememberingĀ Judge Neerja’s hard-hitting poem that she recited whileĀ givingĀ the death penalty to a 22-YO-man accused of raping a 3-YO-girl:
Ek teen saal ki beti par yeh kaisa atyachaar hua?
Ek bachchi ko darindo se bacha na sake, yeh kaise mulk itna laachar hua?
Uss bachhi par kitna zulm hua, woh kitna royi hogi.
Mera hi kaleja fatt jaaata hai, toh maa kaise soyi hogi?
Jis masoom ko dekh kar mann mein pyaar umad kar aata hai,
Dekh ussi ko kuch ke mann mein haiwaan utar aata hai.
Kapdon ke kaaran hote rape jo kahein, unhein batlaun main,
Aakhir teen saal ki bachchi ko, saree kaise pehnaun main?
