Mere Ghar Aayee Ek Nanhee Paree
Chandani Ke Haseen Rath Pe Sawaar
Maine Poochhaa Use Ke Kaun Hain Too
Has Ke Bolee Ke Main Hoo Teraa Pyaar
Gone are the days, when moms used to feel love more than anything when they used to hold their beautiful daughters for the first time.
Now, the only emotion that overpowers all other beautiful emotions is FEAR – The fear of their daughter becoming the prey to a disgusted man’s lust.
Recently, a woman who lived that fear is the mother of the 7-year-old girl, who was brutally raped by 21 year-old-man in New Delhi.
She relived her painful ordeal as she shared the details with CNN on what happened with her daughter.
According to the mother, after raping her 7-year-old daughter with a water hose, the attacker gave her daughter Rs. 10 and a piece of chocolate to buy her silence. He left her near her home, with a towel around her waist while she was bleeding.
The 26-year-old mother picked up her scared and frightened daughter and asked her to point out the man, she told CNN on Thursday.
“She was holding her stomach and she was bleeding. When I saw her blood, there was no strength left in my body.“, said the mother.
“I felt that there is no life in my body and there is no ground below my feet,” the mother continued.
The mother said the man also wrapped the hose around her daughter’s neck after raping her on Monday.
[ifh_news_form]Here’s the complete interview of the mother with CNN reporter:
A 21-year-old has been arrested in connection with the rape, which occurred in the district of Shahdara in the northeastern part of the city, said Meghna Yadav, Deputy Commissioner with the Delhi Police.
Yadav could not provide further details. But Swati Maliwal, Chairwoman of the Delhi Commission for Women, said the girl was in extreme pain after the attack.
Maliwal provided additional details in her series of tweets

Cannot describe the pain the little girl was experiencing. Already malnourished, she has a long struggle ahead. We are going to support her in her legal fight to ensure death penalty to her culprits. Will file compensation application & shall make all efforts to rehabilitate her.

But who will ensure no more rapes in Delhi? Despite my indefinite fast & law created for ensuring death penalty to rapists of children, it’s yet to be implemented in Delhi. Delhi Police still lacks 66K personel, fast track courts yet to be created & Centre yet to take cognizance!

When asked the mother about what should be the punishment if the suspect is held guilty:
“He should be hanged,” the mother said of the suspect. “Life imprisonment is too small a punishment. It is nothing compared to what he has done.”
Asked whether she was concerned about the long-term mental effects of the assault, the girl’s mother said, “She will have to forget about this. … She should just forget.”
And, it’s not only the mother who wants the culprit to be hanged:
I’m into public hangings during this situation ????♂️
