This story will definitely cheer you up if you are disappointed by the sad state of women in India.
Gandhi once said, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
And, no one could have been a better example than this group of women. They taught this man a well-deserved lesson for eve teasing another woman.
On multiple occasions, we have seen women suggesting other women for standing up for their rights. But, when they found themselves in a similar situation they just preferred to stay silent.
But, this group of women is different.
According to India Today, a video of a man being thrashed by a group of women has gone viral in social media.
You can see women thrashing a man and stripping him for making an obscene gesture at a woman.
It was reported later that the video was shot in Nandivali locality of Thane’s Dombivali area on Tuesday (January 8) evening.
So What Exactly Happened?
As quoted by Indian Today, the man works as an electrician. He was working at the woman’s house when he made some lewd gestures at her.
The courageous woman decided that she will not stay quiet about the incident. She immediately took actions to teach him a lesson. She gathered other women living in her neighbourhood, and alerted them with what happened.
What happened next will not only make you salute these women but also inspire you to create this kind of womanhood in your locality.
They thrashed and stripped the man. Though they didn’t file any police complaint, they made sure that he doesn’t even have the courage of teasing another woman!
The day we will start receiving similar stories from every nook and corner of our country, we believe that day our daughters and sisters – you and me – will roam freely in this country with our heads high.
We will walk fearlessly without any fear of being raped, abused, harassed or killed. What a great walk that would be!
But that will only happen if women will start supporting other women rather than pulling each other down.
Let’s hope that change will come soon!
