Some incidents are so painful and shocking that they instill not only fear but also disgust!
One such incident that happened recently is about how our society failed this three-year-old innocent girl living in one of the most developed city of our country – Gurgaon.
On Thursday, the nightmare of every Indian mother came true when there was a story about how a three-year-old girl was assaulted by a sweeper at a private school.
According to Gurgaon Police:
“A sweeper at a private school was Thursday arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl”
So, What Really Happened?
The whole incident came to the light when the 3-year-old returned home and complained about pain in her private parts.
Parents being confused & saddened, approached the school management. With the support of school management, the 3-year-old identified the sweeper as the perpetrator.
The Gurgaon Police PRO further shared the heart-breaking details of the incident:
“The incident took place inside the school toilet on Wednesday when sweeper saw the victim alone.”
They further added:
“The victim’s parents lodged a complaint against the accused following which he was arrested”
The sweeper has been identified as Komal. He was working at the preparatory school in Gurgaon. After the parents’ complaint, Komal was arrested from his residence in Gurgaon.
He was booked under Section 6 (aggravated penetrative sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Where Is Our Society Heading?
Many parents are having sleepless nights as there have been multiple cases of child sexual abuse.
And, there seems to be no end to this shameful trend with minor children being easy targets. Today, the only question every father and every mother are asking themselves is –
Are we such an inhumane, sex-starved society that we have to be fearful about the safety of our children every single day of our lives?
The increasing number of rape cases shows how our social DNA has degraded. A man without morals is like a wild beast in the world, who will destroy everyone to please his own pleasures.
It doesn’t matter to him whether she is a 30-year-old woman or a 3-year-old girl.
Whether she is wearing a saree or a skirt!
Whether she is a daughter of a driver or of a well-reputed professional.
Doesn’t matter if you have a son or a daughter, you always feel threatened about the safety of your child – you always feel scared that there is a predator waiting to take away their innocence.
Wish our country invests time and energy to make our society at least safer for our kids. We want our kids to roam freely and fearless in this country.
