No pain is worse than the pain of a parent who just lost her kid to the brutal society.
And, what makes it harder is the fact that these parents lost their kid at one of the assumed safest place i.e. the school.
While we, parents, work really hard to make sure we get our kids admitted to the best schools, hardly we know these schools can turn into graveyards of our kids.
Recently, when a 12-YO was beaten to death by his seniors, the authorities rather than getting him justice, buried his body after he was declared dead by the doctors.
The shocking details emerged on Wednesday, as reported by The Times of India and according to the police, the authorities buried the boy’s body inside the campus after doctors declared him dead, to hide the details.
After being beaten by the class 12 students from the same school, when this 12-YO was rushed to the hospital, it was too late.
But, if you are wondering why was he beaten?
Then it would break your heart that he was allegedly tortured as his seniors suspected him of stealing a biscuit packet while they were out.
Unlike our media, we don’t want to sensationalize the horrific details of that shocking incident.
But, rather we want to focus on an important question – how unsafe our schools have become for our kids as authorities keep sleeping over the horrific incidents?
Revealing more shocking details about the school in question, Usha Negi, the chairperson of State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) shared the details on Thursday,
“We have learnt that a girl studying in class 7 in 2012 was also raped by school staff but nothing happened in that case.
That girl also did not get any justice, we will fight for all these cases”
The official also shared a document, which stated that in September 2006, another girl was raped and impregnated by the manager and two staff members. The document further mentions that when the officials learned that the girl was pregnant they got her pregnancy aborted.
These revelations will leave any parent angry and sad.
While mourning the death of this 12-YO, we as parents are being troubled by many questions.
What stopped authorities from taking the strict action if there are already so many cases registered against the school?
What stopped authorities from cancelling the school’s license?
As we hardly come to know about the name of such schools, how safe our kid’s school is?
Shouldn’t the authorities empower parents to know any case or wrong-doing done by the school in the past?
