While you are reading this story, a 10-month-old baby girl is struggling for her life because her mother showed the courage of saying NO.
The baby was shot in the head allegedly by a man who made unwanted advances at her mother.
This horrific incident shows what humanity has come to.
This heartbreaking incident happened on early Sunday morning at around 4 a.m. when Deziree, the mother, was leaving a house party event in California, USA with her daughter Fayth.
According to police:
“It was during this event that Deziree met Marcus, who allegedly forced her to hold his hand.
Deziree quickly grew uncomfortable and pulled herself away. She went to her friends to share what had happened with her.”
But, things got worse when moments later, the guy forced this mother to sit on his lap.
The mother pulled herself away once again but this time she ran to get her daughter to leave the event.
Hardly, she knew that her baby would be paying the price for her courage.
Sharing the details, the police further added:
“It was just a few blocks away when the mother noticed the same guy walking towards the car.
The man then pulled out a handgun and fired multiple rounds into the driver’s window, striking baby on the side of her head as she was sitting in her mother’s arms.
Deziree friend quickly dialed 911 and the baby was rushed to a hospital where she is listed in “critical, but stable condition. The baby underwent surgery to remove bullet fragments from her head.”
Though Marcus was later arrested at the home where the party was held, what was shocking was his reaction to his monstrous act.
As per the police,
“It should shock the conscience of every person in Fresno to know that we have a 10-month-old baby lying in the hospital fighting for her life.
After being taken into police custody, Echartea showed “he had no remorse,”
When our detectives brought him downtown… he had just shot a 10-month-old baby and didn’t seem to care or it didn’t phase him.”
The family has not left the child’s side and are praying for the baby’s recovery.
Though the investigation is still on and police have assured this 10-month-old baby will get justice, but we couldn’t stop ourselves from asking –
