In a heartbreaking incident, a 26-year-old woman was allegedly raped for three days by a sub-inspector of Rajasthan police at the compound of the police station.
In order to seek some support against her allegedly abusive husband, the woman went to the police station in Alwar district to lodge a complaint against him. But, rather than providing her help, the cop raped her inside the police compound for 3 days.
As per the reports, the crime allegedly took place at the compound of the police station, inside the room where the accused sub-inspector lived, said the police. Further sharing the details, the police shared that the woman had contacted the officer on March 2 regarding a complaint against her husband.
While revealing the details of the ugly incident, Alwar Superintendent of Police told The Indian Express on Monday:
“Back in 2018, she had filed a case of dowry harassment against her husband which was later settled. But now according to her, the woman’s husband wanted to give her divorce and she was not agreeing. The complainant had come to the police station and contacted the sub-inspector regarding lodging of a complaint in this matter,”
The victim has alleged that the officer, who is in his fifties and the second-officer-in-command at the police station, raped her for three days between March 2 and March 4.
54-year-old Bharat Singh promised her that he would help her settle the case with her husband, who asked for the divorce. The woman alleged that she came to the police seeking help as she did not want to divorce her husband. Reports suggest that initially, the police tried to suppress the case against SI Singh.
As per the sources, the accused sub-inspector has been arrested.

It is a matter of immense shame how the system that is expected to protect women, started abusing them. Many netizens came forward to share their disgust and disappointment in the failure of the system to protect women:
1. Rajasthan: Police sub-inspector allegedly raped woman for 3 days in Alwar Police Station where she had gone to file complaint against her husband.

The cops are meant to Protect us or just join other rapists out there. A country should have a strong law enforcement to stop this but what if the law enforcement is the one doing that sin*
This is the pain which woman has to face and noone understand this..

The worst news you can read on women’s day involving Rape that too by supposed protector, and the loathsome long drawn pratha of Dowry. The greed and blatant fearlessness when perpetuating a crime against women.
