In another heart-wrenching case of sexual assault, a 26-year-old man allegedly raped a five-year-old girl in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh.
As per Indiatimes, the accused has been identified as Nazim, who owns a shop near the girl’s house. The five-year-old victim was a regular customer at the shop. When she had gone there to buy candies, the man allegedly lured her to a room with the offer of giving her chocolates. It was then the 26-year-old monster raped her.
As per the TOI report, when the girl reached home, there were bloodstains on her clothes. The family members were left horrified when they came to know that their five-year-old child was sexually assaulted by the neighborhood shopkeeper.
After coming across the horrific details, the family soon filed a police complaint against Nazim, who in the meantime, had fled the scene. He was soon arrested. The accused has been booked under various relevant sections of POCSO and under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code.
Though the 5-year-old is in stable condition, it is a matter of shame how as a society, we are failing to protect not only our women but also our babies and kids. It is heartbreaking how these sex-deprived monsters are making our young vulnerable children their victims now.
