While we proclaim to becoming a superpower soon, we wonder how could we even dream of it if we keep mistreating our women. Here’s one such incident of extreme cruelty that would leave you heartbroken and disgusted.
In Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur district, a shocking incident took place in which a 40-year-old husband brutally killed his pregnant wife, Renu, over a cup of tea. This incident took place on Monday, when the husband, Babloo Kumar, beat his wife mercilessly because the tea served to him by his wife had less sugar.
The couple had been married for 12 years and were blessed with three kids.
On the basis of the complaint filed by Renu’s father, Badri Prasad, the FIR has been registered under IPC section 302 (murder) against the husband.
As per the sources, SHO of Pasgawa police station Rakesh Kumar, said,
“The couple fought because there was less sugar in the tea and the husband killed his wife with a sharp knife. We have recovered the murder weapon and the accused will be arrested soon. We are conducting raids to arrest him.”
“The children are witness to the murder and we have taken their statement,”
If a husband can kill his pregnant wife over just a cup of tea, then there is an immediate need to introspect about what kind of society we have become.
