“We produced the accused before a court. The court has remanded him in police custody till January 2 for further investigation.”
This incident is just a reminder of how authorities need to ensure that our technology platforms put the right systems in place to ensure women’s safety. In the times, when we hear the women being harassed by food delivery employees or being cyberbullied or verbally assaulted on social media or being assaulted by the men on dating apps, we feel its high time that authorities intervene.
Though the man is in custody, it is heart-breaking how even in the 21st century, our women are not safe. It is so disturbing that how we are still waging a battle to keep ourselves and our daughters safe.
