Not just men, many times women are themselves the promoter of patriarchal society. They tend to insult, shame, and harass other women to satisfy their own egos. Rather than uplifting other women, they become the flag-bearers of patriarchy and make an attempt to shame other women.
While this happens in many household families, we were left disappointed when actor Kangana Ranaut pulled down other women, to defend herself against a regressive derogatory comment.
Though we loved the fact that Kangana stood against the derogatory remark but in the process to do so, she made another disparaging remark at other women. Kangana defended herself against the former minster Panse’s derogatory comment by pulling down Alia, Deepika, and Katrina.
Former minister Sukhdev Panse referred to Kangana Ranaut as a ‘naachney gaane wali‘.Â
Former minister in the previous #KamalNath govt in Madhya Pradesh, Sukhdev Panse, has made a derogatory remark against #Bollywood actress #KanganaRanaut (@KanganaTeam), calling her a ‘Naachney Gaane waali’ (which loosely translates into a cheap version of a public entertainer). pic.twitter.com/7zAxNLlHEC

Firstly, it is so disappointing that Mr. Panse believes that being a dancer is an abuse. How could we shame a woman for being independent and pursuing her dance passion? Then we were disappointed when rather than calling out Panse’s problematic tweet, she toot her horn and implied that Deepika, Alia, or Katrina are ‘naachney gaane wali’, not her.Â
Whoever this fool is does he know I am no Deepika Katrina or Alia…. I am the only one who refused to do item numbers, refused to do big hero ( Khan /Kumar) films which made entire Bullywoodiya gang men +women against me. I am a Rajput woman I don’t shake ass I break bones. https://t.co/6mBxxfVL1e

How can a woman, who promotes herself as a feminist, deride the other woman; We wonder if Kangana realizes that in the quest to answer back Mr. Panse, she put herself in the same league as that of Mr. Panse.
There are many netizens, who came forward and expressed their disappointment with Kangana’s hypocrisy.
It’s funny cause it’s hypocritical, and untrue, and slutshamy https://t.co/PW1hsq8bcS

While the statement of Panse is condemnable and in bad taste ,

You cannot absolve yourself of Doing the same by naming the three actresses.
The worst thing a person can do is loose composure and failing to control oneself about how and what they speak.
Very bad indeed.
I don’t see any difference between Pragya Singh’s ‘Shudra’ remark and this flaunting of Rajput status. Both are two sides of the same Rajput women. The only difference I see is that one has not yet joined Bjp officially. https://t.co/l2R6L5eDJP

A real queen doesn’t need to pull down other women to feel like a queen. She doesn’t need to insult other women to raise herself up! Do let us know what you think?
