Even in the 21st century, our so-called educated men believe it’s women’s job to cook food for husbands and their families. Case in point, this well-educated man wants to divorce his wife because she allegedly only served Maggi to him for all meals.
Recently, principal district and sessions court judge ML Raghunath spoke about matrimonial cases where couples file for divorce over petty issues. He shared the details of one such case, that came up when he was the district judge in Ballari.
While sharing the details of the divorce case, he shared: “The husband said his wife did not know how to prepare any food other than Maggi noodles. It was noodles for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He complained that his wife went to the provision store and brought only instant noodles.”
