In a shocking incident, a Pune woman discovered a phone camera recording her in the woman’s washroom of a cafe on November 3. The cafe called Cafe BeHive is located in the Hinjawadi area of Pune.
This incident has shocked social media and raised awareness among many Indian women to pay attention to the washrooms, even in the most reputed and famous cafes and restaurants.
So What Happened?
While recalling how the manager rather than putting the effort into finding the culprit, tried to bribe the woman, she mentioned:
Sadly, when she showed the courage to confront the management about the phone camera and asked them to find a culprit, she was not only rudely dismissed but also her Zomato review was deleted without any specific action taken (apart from taking camera being taken down.)
Though many on social media have come forward to share their anger and outrage over the incident, sadly there has been no response from the cafe yet.
Have deleted my previous tweet, as someone pointed out a mistake. Behive, Hinjewadi was filming women in the ladies toilet. This is the limit of perversion. They have to be brought to book. RT widely. @PuneCityPolice pic.twitter.com/sPW7lWLSYS

#behiveindia #behivepune #shameonyou #Zomato @ZomatoIN how low can you go? How dare you delete her review without conforming with her? How dare you not blacklist this restaurant from your godforsaken app? pic.twitter.com/cZBNc7HLB1

Never… Never… Never complain to the management/staff in such case. Take proof and immediately file a complaint at the nearest police station.
No cafe/org will ever want to address such issue in open and will always try to suppress it for their benefit.— ???????? Bourbon ???????? (@bubun_s) November 5, 2019

At IFORHER, we applaud this brave woman’s courage to come forward to share her experience to build awareness among other women. We hope her story will make many other women stay alert in public spaces and soon a strict action would be taken against the culprit who installed this camera.
