“Women are their own worst enemies.”: It is heart-breaking how more often than not a woman is the reason behind other woman’s misery. It is so disappointing how, while men support each other, women tend to shatter each other. Sadly, that’s the reason why women are still struggling to be treated at par with men.
Recently, a bizarre incident came to light that would put many women to shame. In a heartbreaking incident, a COVID positive mother-in-law hugged her daughter-in-law to infect her. When she was infected, the daughter-in-law was thrown out of her house.
What Happened?
Hurt over being isolated after being tested for COVID, the agitated woman forcefully hugged her daughter-in-law in Telangana to infect her with the virus. Later, when the daughter-in-law was tested positive for Covid, she was thrown out of the house. Her sister later took her to parents’ house in the Rajanna Sircilla district.
While sharing her agony, the 20-year-old daughter-in-law told The Times of India that her mother-in-law was upset that everyone in the family kept a distance from her after she tested positive for Covid.
“My mother-in-law hugged me saying that I should also get infected with Covid-19,” the woman told health officials in a video interview
As per the sources, the daughter-in-law mentioned that after her mother-in-law tested Covid positive, she was kept in isolation. As per the protection measures, she was given food at a designated area and her grandchildren were also not allowed to get close to her — which apparently upset her.
Agitated with the isolation, the mother-in-law wanted to infect the daughter-in-law as well.
“Do all of you want to live happily when I die?,” saying this, she started hugging her daughter-in-law.
Now, the daughter-in-law is undergoing treatment and is in isolation at her sister’s house.
It is heart-breaking that this young woman had to bear the brunt of being a daughter-in-law. Not only she was infected with the COVID, but she was also thrown out of the home to struggle alone. While we wish this young soul strength and luck for her COVID battle, we hope authorities would take action to get her justice.
