Recently, a 17-year-old boy from Kerala came up with a robot to help his mother with chores. As per various sources, Robot “Android Pathooty,” created by a high school student from Kerala at 17, is equipped to do various domestic chores.
As per ANI, 12th-class student Muhammed Shiyad Chathoth, designed the robot, with the sole purpose to help his mother with domestic chores in the kitchen.
Because of domestic chores, Shiyad’s mother often runs late in the morning. Additionally, Shiyad’s mother used to get frustrated because the kitchen was far from the dining room. And, to help his mother and reduce the stress, this 12th-class student came up with the Robot “Android Pathooty”.
In a discussion with The Better India, Shiyad’s father told that it’s Pathooty now, who walks that far to provide meals and other services to everyone. He further shared how the robot also helps the family to track if Shiyad’s grandmother has taken pills on time.
But, unfortunately, some Twitter users criticized Pathooty’s appearance and overall idea behind this creation.
Many questioned why only women should carry the burden of household chores.

While many criticized the female appearance of Patoothy, Shiyad shared in his interview that it was his mother, who chose this look. He also justified that he didn’t want to send any wrong message. In midst of criticism, there were some, who came to defend the innovation and stated how the teenager had designed the robot’s appearance as per his mother’s wishes.
