Recently, the Zomato incident shocked many across the country. A Bengaluru-based influencer recently alleged that a Zomato delivery boy manhandled her and broke her nose. While many came forward to support the woman who claimed she was beaten, there were many who supported the delivery boy as he refused the allegation.
In the short span of time, the issue has grabbed a lot of eyeballs and now many across the country would like to know the truth.
Recently, even Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra also commented on the incident. As per her post, she showed her support to the delivery boy and requested Zomato India to ‘publicly report the truth’.
Showing her solidarity towards the Zomato guy, she tweets,
“Zomato India – PLEASE find and publicly report the truth.. If the gentleman is innocent (and I believe he is), PLEASE help us penalise the woman in question. This is inhuman, shameful and heartbreaking .. Please let me know how I can help.. #ZomatoDeliveryGuy @zomatoin”.

Along with her tweet, she also shared the heart-breaking image of the Zomato guy on her Instagram story. Through her post, she appealed that the woman should be punished if she is found guilty of false claims.
As per sources, after the incident was reported by the influencer, Zomato suspended the delivery boy temporarily. The company also released a statement wherein they revealed that they are covering delivery boy’s legal expenses and the influencer’s medical expenses.
A portion of the statement read,
“We are in constant touch with Hitesha, covering her medical expenses, and helping her with the proceedings. …We are also in constant touch with Kamaraj, extending all possible support to make sure both sides of the story come to light and that due process is followed in the spirit of fairness.”
It further added:
“Right from the get-go, our topmost priority has been to get to the truth. Towards that we are helping both Hitesha and Kamaraj (our delivery partner) with all the support they need while the investigation is pending. We are also assisting the police in whichever way asked.”
Well, let’s hope the truth prevails and the one found guilty is severely punished!
