“Your kid has not started speaking yet. You need to focus on your kid.”
“How could you give preference to your career over your baby? You can’t be so selfish.”
“How could you think about leaving your job for a baby? Where is the ambitious lady in you gone?”
“She’s already lost her baby weight? She must be neglecting her baby to work out” or “She still hasn’t lost her baby weight?”
“She sends her baby to daycare on Fridays even though she doesn’t work – how could she?”
Haven’t we all heard the world blaming and shaming moms for the choices they make for their kids and for themselves?
Have you been shamed by your parents or by your friends or some stranger in a facebook group! Then you are not alone!
Like many of us, recently Aishwarya was shamed on social media for her parenting skills.
Aishwarya received Meryl Streep award for excellence at Women In Film & Television. But, rather than celebrating her achievement of making India proud with such an honor, she was shamed on social media for her parenting skills. Her pictures and videos with daughter Aaradhya, from the airport, went viral on the internet.
Aishwarya was seen walking hand-in-hand with Aaradhya, while the paparazzi surrounded them from everywhere.
People mercilessly trolled her for being an overprotective mother and some even said that she is snatching away her little one’s confidence.

“Ufffff she’s spoiling her daughter and snatching her confidence! I’m so sorry for the poor child that she got such stupid mum who is holding her like she’s disabled.’’– one of the several ruthless comments read.
sheekhaanegi: @viralbhayani I am sure even u want to tell this to aishwarya that she shud let her kid be ! Nobody is going to eat her baby ! ????
shweti27: Doesn’t she go to a school or something she is always spotted with her mum anywhere and everywhere
mukherjee_jaya: She seems to be an overprotective mother and that’s not healthy in the long run
Even worse, people were harsh enough to pass judgments on Aaradhya not being a normal child –
akshswara: I dont think that she is a normal child at all…Taimur has such confidence in this age only and here is she behaving like ????????????????????????
Like us, do you wonder who gave this world the right to judge any parent and their parenting skills?
We stand with Aishwarya Rai and all the other moms who were shamed for their parenting skills. And, we want to tell all the people who believe in judging moms –
Moms can hold their kid’s hand, make decisions for their kids and be protective of them if they want to. It’s their kid, not yours!
Their kid is their business, none of your business!
