The Kerala Story: Movie Plot & Cast
A controversial movie based in Kerala that claims 32,000 women from the state were forcibly converted and recruited by the militant outfit ISIS. The film has been the subject of much controversy since the release of its teaser on November 2, 2022.
The movie tells the story of Fathima Ba (played by Adah Sharma), a young woman from Kerala who dreams of becoming a nurse to serve humanity. However, her life takes a drastic turn when she is abducted from her home and manipulated by religious extremists, ultimately leading her to become a part of the terrorist organization ISIS.
Through Fathima’s narration, the audience is taken on a journey through her harrowing experience of being a converted Muslim woman and her time in an Afghanistan jail. The movie is a thought-provoking and intense portrayal of the realities of radicalization and the impact it can have on individuals and society.
