5 Golds For India: R Madhavan’s Son Once Again Makes India Proud As He Wins Big In Malaysia

In the midst of star kids running to make careers in the movie industry, it is a matter of pride that R Madhavan’s son is making the whole country proud. Once again, R Madhavan’s son Vedaant has given the nation a reason to celebrate.

Vedaant has won five Gold medals in swimming for India at Malaysia Invitational Age Group Swimming Championships. And now, as per sources, he will be competing at the World Championships in Fukuoka in July 2023.

R Madhavan, the proud father, took to social media to share the great news. He wrote, “With Gods grace and all your good wishes Vedaant gets 5 golds for India ( 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m and 1500m) with 2 PB’s at the Malaysian invitational age group championships, 2023 held this weekend in Kuala Lumpur. Elated and very grateful.”

Malaysia Invitational Age Group Swimming Championships was held in National Aquatic Center, KLSC, Bukit Jalil between April 13 and 16.

Anushka Sharma wrote in the comments, “Congratulations to you all.” Lara Dutta said, “Awesome!!!! Congratulations!!!” Actor Darshan Kumaar said, “Heartiest congratulations bhai ji”. Actor Suriya wrote, “This is beautiful ❤️ Hearty congratulations to Vedaant, Sarita and you and the team!!”

And, for the unversed, this isn’t first time R Madhavan’s son Vedaant Madhavan has made the country proud. In February this year, he won seven medals at Khelo India 2023.

In July 2021, Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik honored him for breaking national swimming record.

Vedaant had won a silver and a gold medal at Danish Open 2022. While talking about his success at the age of 16, he told DD News that he wants to create his own identity. “I didn’t wanna live under my dad’s shadow. I wanted to make name for myself. I didn’t want to be just R Madhavan’s son.”
