Sushmita Sen Trolled For Sending Oxygen To Delhi, Her Reply Is A Lesson In Humanity

Our country is struggling with unprecedented times. While many are struggling to save their loved ones, there are many strangers who are coming forward to support them. But, it is a matter of shame that some are still using these tough times to divide people and shame those who are stepping out of their comfort zone to help vulnerable souls.

Recently, Sushmita Sen came forward to support a small Delhi hospital with an oxygen cylinder. Rather than applauding her gesture, a troller blamed and shamed her for this gesture.

So What Happened?

A few days ago, Sunil Saggar’s video from Shanti Mukand Hospital went viral. In this heartbreaking video, a teary-eyed Sunil stressed that the hospital was running out of oxygen. And, they had no other choice but to discharge the patients.

When Sushmita Sen came across this heart-wrenching video, she decided to help the hospital out by arranging the oxygen cylinders. And, she succeeded too.

But sadly, she couldn’t arrange a way to get them transported to Delhi from Maharashtra. Hence, she took to Twitter and asked people for help.

While there were many who came forward to offer help, there was one person who showed us how some people are forgetting their humanity during these tough times. Responding to Sushmita’s request, this man asked Sushmita why she was sending oxygen to Delhi when Mumbai itself was facing a crisis.

To which the actor replied:

Meanwhile, many others came forward to support Sushmita on her decision.

Anyhow, she has now figured a way to get the cylinders transported, a piece of news she shared herself.

We must mention, here, that the hospital had arranged for oxygen in the meanwhile.

These are the challenging times. The only thing that we can do as humans is to stand together against the pandemic. We are so proud of Sushmita Sen for rising to the occasion and keeping humanity as her top priority.
