Actor Irrfan Khan has died at the age of 53, after being admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Tuesday. He was was under observation for colon infection. The actor in 2018 had announced that he’d been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor.
Looking back, Irrfan had uploaded a heartwarming message before the release of what came to be his last film, Angrezi Medium. This emotional message left many of us teary-eyed.
Along with scenes from his upcoming film Angrezi Medium, he started his visual message by telling his audience how special the journey of the movie had been. In this heart-touching video message, one could hear Irrfan saying in a voiceover, in Hindi:
“Hello, brothers and sisters, I am with you and not with you. This film, Angrezi Medium, is very special to me. I truly wanted to promote this film as passionately as we made it. But there are some ‘unwanted guests’ in my body and they’re keeping me busy. I’ll keep you informed on that front.”
Irrfan further added,
“There’s a saying, ‘when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade.’ It feels good to hear, but when life really hands you lemons, making lemons is really difficult. But, one doesn’t have any other choice but to remain positive. Whether you are able to make lemonade in such situations is entirely up to you. We’ve made this film with the same sort of positivity.”
Irrfan signed off by saying:
“I hope this film is able to make you laugh and cry in equal measure. Enjoy the trailer, and be kind to each other, and enjoy the film. And yes, wait for me.”
His powerful and heart-touching last words left many emotional. Many netizens took to social media to express their love and respect for Irrfan and have promised to “wait” for him.
