The movie miserably tanked at the box office. And, not just Samrat Prithviraj but Akshay’s four other movies failed at creating any impact. Many people blame his tight movie schedules that leave no room for people to spend time on details. And, recently, when the actor revealed his first look as Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj from his Marathi debut film, Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat, he faced a lot of criticism.
While many felt Akshay is about to ruin another legendary character without spending time to personify its personality, others found a more hilarious blunder. Fans spotted light bulbs in the video where Akshay Kumar in the get up of Shivaji walks towards the camera.
Many pointed out how Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj reigned from 1674-1680 while the lightbulb was invented two centuries later in 1879.

Who is the producer/director? They should really take care of these things if making a period film! Isn’t it? It’s not actors outlook to correct distortions in the scenes being filmed. Though he may give his opinions, director/produce is free to apply own mind.
