When some time back, the rumors of Hera Pheri 3 happening started, many netizens couldn’t control their happiness. Few months ago, Producer Firoz Nadiadwala confirmed working on Hera Pheri 3 and also mentioned that it would have the original cast. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, he mentioned,
“You’ll get to see it very soon with the same star cast – Akshay ji, Paresh bhai and Suniel ji. The story is in place, and we are working on certain modalities. It’ll be made in the same way, retaining the innocence of the characters. We can’t take past achievements for granted. So, we have to be extra careful in terms of our content, story, screenplay, characters, mannerism etc,”

Finally, Paresh Rawal confirmed that Hera Pheri 3 is happening but there is a major twist. Turns out Kartik Aaryan will be replacing Akshay Kumar in the sequel. The news of Kartik coming on board surfaced after Akshay Kumar pulled out from the sequel. Even the news was confirmed by Paresh Rawal himself.

I am neither an #AkshayKumar or #SunilShetty fan nor a hater of @TheAaryanKartik but I have already started disliking #KartikAaryan for signing this movie….we want the OG trio of @akshaykumar , @SirPareshRawal and @SunielVShetty otherwise we won’t watch .
The internet’s verdict is that the iconic character of Raju played by Akshay Kumar is so pure that no one else can fit in. It might be too early to say that Kartik will be playing the role of Raju as nothing has been confirmed by the makers yet. Let’s hope the makers soon share some information.
