1. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

Finally, the moment we’ve been waiting for has arrived as this Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is soon arriving in the theatres in the coming week of April.  Starring the all-time favorite Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chillar, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Alaya F, the movie is written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Himanshu Kishan Mehra, and Ali Abbas Zafar. The film is slated to release on Eid 2024. 

2. Maidaan

Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, actor Ajay Devgn wears the hat of a football coach. Maidaan revolves around the life of  Syed Abdul Rahim, who brought pride to India through football. The trailer showed Ajay Devgn as Syed Abdul Rahim working hard to bring India’s football game to the world map. He built a team including young men from slums and trained them to make it big globally. The film also features Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh.

3. Dukaan

“Dukaan”, the directorial debut of screenwriter duo Siddharth Singh and Garima Wahal, is set to hit the screens on April 5. The film features Monika Panwar, Sikander Kher, Soham Majumdar, Monali Thakur, and Vrajesh Hirjee in a cameo appearance.  Set in Gujarat, “Dukaan” unfolds the tale of Jasmine, a young woman embarking on a courageous journey as a surrogate mother.  The film delves into crucial themes of dignity, freedom of choice, and the autonomy of woman engaged in commercial surrogacy.

4. Tehran

Tehran is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller directed by Arun Gopalan and produced by Dinesh Vijan. It stars John Abraham, Manushi Chillar, and Neeru Bajwa in lead roles. The film is claimed to be based on true events and will showcase India’s perspective on the ongoing war between the two nations (Ukraine-Russia). 

 

5. The First Omen

The First Omen is an upcoming American supernatural horror film directed by Arkasha Stevenson. It serves as a prequel to The Omen and is the sixth film in The Omen franchise. The film stars Nell Tiger Free, Tawfeek Barhom, Sonia Braga, Ralph Inseon, and Bill Nighy. Set in 1971, the plot follows an American woman sent to work at a church in Rome who uncovers a sinister conspiracy to bring about the birth of the Antichrist. When a young American woman is sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the church, she encounters a darkness that causes her to question her faith and discovers a terrifying conspiracy. 

6. Challengers

Written by Justin Kuritzkes, Challengers follows the story of Tashi (Played by Zendaya), who finds herself embroiled in a high stakes love triangle. Tashi is a pro tennis player – who  is forced to become a coach. Coach Tashi sets out to transform her husband, described as a mediocre tennis player, into a world-famous grand slam champion. There she meets her former boyfriend who eventually turns out to be his husband’s former best friend.

7. Amar Singh Chamkila

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, this directorial film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles. The movie shows the famous singer Amar Singh Chamkila’s journey highlighting an artist’s struggles and controversies. The story revolves around the popular 80s singer – Amar Singh Chamkila – who was shot dead with his wife Amarjot – played by Parineeti – in 1988. 

8. Do Aur Do Pyar

This upcoming film stars Vidya Balan and Ileana D’Cruz in the lead roles. The story gives a glimpse into the dynamics of modern-day relationships with a perfect blend of romance, humor, and relatable storytelling. All four characters attempt to rekindle the passion and excitement in their relationships. They go on movie dates and trips.  Apart from Vidya and Ileana the film also features Sendhil Ramamurthy and Pratik Gandhi in lead roles. The movie is directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta.
