New Movies & Shows Releasing This Weekend (24th – 26th May)

1. JamnaPaar

This coming-of-age series follows a young, ambitious man who learns to embrace his roots while navigating the fast-paced city life. The newly released series stars Ritvik Sahore, Varun Badola, and Raghu Ram, among others.

 

2. The Kardashians Season 5
 

The Kardashians returns for its fifth season and will continue to follow the lives of Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, Kendall, Kylie, and Kris as they navigate their personal and professional challenges. Highlights include Kourtney’s new baby, Kim’s business ventures, and Khloé’s latest family additions. The new installment features plenty of drama, surprises, and heartfelt moments as the family continues to evolve under the public eye.

3. The Blue Angels

Directed by Paul Crowder and produced by Glen Powell and J.J. Abrams. The Blue Angels is an electrifying documentary offering in depth exploration of the U.S. Navy’s elite Flight Demonstration Squadron. The film delves into the intense training of both veteran and novice pilots. 

4. Atlas

Atlas is a highly anticipated sci-fi thriller directed by Brad Peyton, Atlas stars Jennifer Lopez as Atlas Shepherd, a data analyst who harbors a deep distrust of artificial intelligence. Atlas partners with what she fears the most to save humanity. It also stars Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, Mark Strong and Lana Parrilla in lead roles.

5. Crew 

Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan and written by the talented duo Nidhi Mehra and Mehul Suri, known for their work on ‘Veere Di Wedding,’ “Crew” promises a wild ride as it follows the escapades of three flight attendants entangled in a daring gold smuggling plot. 6. My Oni Girl

‘My Oni Girl’ is directed by Tomotaka Shibayama known for his work with Studio Ghibli and his directorial debut, A Whisker Away. The story revolves around a first-year high school student Hiirage Yatsuse, who meets an Oni (a demon in Japanese folklore) girl named Tsumugi, searching for her mother in the human world. Their unlikely friendship leads them on a mystical journey to find Tsumugi’s mother. 

7. Bhaiyya Ji

‘Bhaiyya Ji’ is an intense action film that follows the tragic story of Vedant Tripathi, a Delhi college student whose life is a cut short by the privileged son of a businessman over a paratha dispute. Shattered by his stepbrother’s death, Ramcharan reveals his true identity as Bhaiyya ji, a powerful Bahubali from Bihar. With his allies, Bhaiyya ji embarks on a mission to dismantle the corrupt system and avenge Vedant’s murder. The movie stars Manoj Bajpayee, Suvinder Vicky and Jatin Goswami in lead roles. 

8. PT Sir

PT Sir is a Tamil sports comedy-film directed by Karthik Venugopal. The movie features hip-hop Tamizha Aadhi in the lead role, supported by Kashmira Pardeshi and others. Like most other women empowerment films, this one too looks to suggest that society tends to blame a woman for an assault on her and that it should be the men who should be taken to task for such crimes. 

9. Dune Part 2

‘Dune’ is the two-part adaptation of the 1965 novel ‘Dune’ by Frank Herbert and follows Paul Atreides as he follows his destiny to unite with the Fremen people of the planet Arrakis to win the war against the oppressive House Harkonnen. The movie stars Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya and Austin Butler in lead roles. 

10. Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom

‘Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom’ focuses on Arthur, who will reunite with his brother to protect Atlantis from destruction after an ancient power is unleashed because of Black Manta. The movie stars Jason Momoa, Patrick Wilson and Amber Heard in lead roles.
