From dark crime mysteries and survival thrillers to spy romances, supernatural chaos and big action adventures, this week’s OTT lineup has plenty to explore. Netflix leads the list, while Prime Video, JioHotstar, Apple TV and SonyLIV also bring some interesting new releases.
New OTT Releases This Week (October 5 – 11)
1. Reporting Live (Netflix | October 9)
Journalist Sandhya sees the chance for a major investigation when she and veteran cameraman Vinod begin digging into illegal sand mining. Their reporting soon leads to a powerful criminal network, turning a promising story into a dangerous fight to expose the truth. Parineeti Chopra and Deven Bhojani lead the thriller alongside Shekhar Suman, Adil Hussain and Amol Palekar.
2. Carrie (Prime Video | October 7)
Teenager Carrie White enters public school after growing up under the strict control of her deeply religious mother, Margaret. Cruel bullying pushes the sheltered girl towards a breaking point just as frightening telekinetic abilities begin emerging. Summer H. Howell stars as Carrie in Mike Flanagan’s television adaptation of Stephen King’s novel.
3. Ishqa Ishqa (Prime Video | October 7)
Kabir, a rising writer, finds himself trapped between two very different kinds of love. Suhani offers him trust, stability and emotional peace, while his intense past with Arohi keeps pulling him back towards a relationship where love and possession begin to overlap. Starring Satyajeet Dubey, Helly Shah and Anushka Kaushik, this romantic thriller explores obsession, control and the difficult choice between holding on and moving forward.
4. Mandadi (Netflix | October 8)
Set against a coastal community, this sports action drama follows fisherman and racer Kaali as traditional sailboat racing becomes connected to pride, rivalry and old conflicts. Soori leads the film, while Suhas plays a key opposing force in a story where competition on the water carries much bigger consequences on land. The film mixes high-energy boat races with family emotions, community rivalries and an underdog’s fight to prove himself.
5. Inside the Circle (Netflix | October 7)
The murder of actress Pamela Dosantos becomes even more dangerous when a leaked video threatens four childhood friends who are now influential public and political figures. Blackmail and secrecy pull them into a conspiracy that appears to reach deep inside the Mexican government. The political thriller is adapted from Jorge Zepeda Patterson’s novel Los Corruptores.
6. Epic – First Semester (Netflix | October 9)
A middle-class young man moves abroad for his studies and enters a completely new world of independence, ambition and complicated relationships. His life changes after meeting Kadali, as attraction slowly develops into a relationship that forces both of them to question what they really want from love and their future. Starring Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, the romantic drama looks at growing up, identity and how relationships change when real-life responsibilities enter the picture.
7. Mortal Kombat II (JioHotstar | October 8)
Earthrealm’s fighters are forced back into battle when Shao Kahn emerges as a major threat to their world. Johnny Cage, played by Karl Urban, joins returning warriors as another brutal confrontation begins. Simon McQuoid directs this action-heavy sequel based on the popular video-game franchise.
8. Animals (Netflix | October 9)
A politician running for Los Angeles mayor and his wife are thrown into a nightmare when their son is kidnapped. Raising the ransom forces the couple to cross dangerous moral lines, while secrets inside their carefully managed family life begin surfacing. Ben Affleck directs and stars alongside Kerry Washington.
9. Pati Patni Aur Panga Season 2 (JioHotstar | October 10)
Sonali Bendre and Munawar Faruqui return as hosts as a fresh group of celebrity couples puts their relationships to the test through games, conversations and entertaining challenges. Season 2 brings together couples including Archana Puran Singh-Parmeet Sethi, Rahul Vaidya-Disha Parmar, Arjun Bijlani-Neha Swami and Divyanka Tripathi-Vivek Dahiya. Expect funny arguments, surprising revelations and plenty of husband-wife chemistry as the couples show how well they really understand each other.
10. Haunted Hotel Season 2 (Netflix | October 9)
Running the world’s most haunted hotel remains difficult for a single mother, especially when her ghost brother keeps becoming part of the chaos. Things get worse when ruthless demon hunters target the property and put its unusual supernatural residents in danger. Season 2 also introduces fresh guests, employees and new mysteries around the hotel.
11. Matchbox The Movie (Apple TV | October 9)
Undercover CIA operative Sean Walker returns home only to be framed for stealing a nuclear weapon. Clearing his name means joining forces with his childhood friends and racing across the world to recover the weapon before disaster strikes. John Cena stars in this Sam Hargrave-directed adventure inspired by Mattel’s Matchbox cars.
12. Eyes (SonyLIV | October 9)
Police officer Tina Sebastian investigates a disturbing set of stalking cases with support from mental-health experts studying obsessive behaviour. As the cases become more threatening, the investigation explores how attraction can slowly turn into control, fear and violence. Kani Kusruti leads this Malayalam psychological crime thriller.
13. Take Charge of My Heart (Netflix | October 9)
Drama writer Na Bo-bae cannot easily touch another person because her body releases powerful electrical shocks. Her unusual condition becomes life-saving when she meets Baek Ho-rang, a wealthy heir whose artificial heart is running out of power and can be recharged by her electricity. A three-month agreement between them slowly begins turning into something romantic.
14. 100 Days of Deception (Netflix | October 10)
In Japanese-occupied Gyeongseong, expert pickpocket Lee Ga-kyung is recruited by the resistance for a dangerous undercover mission. Posing as an interpreter allows her to enter the colonial government, but her assignment becomes more complicated when she develops feelings for elite interpreter Kim Tae-woong. Kim You-jung and Park Jin-young lead this historical spy romance.
15. Below (Netflix | October 8)
A remote Newfoundland community is terrorised by a violent creature emerging from the sea. Fisherman Calvin Penney becomes personally involved when his son develops alarming symptoms connected to the threat, forcing him to work with marine biologist Fonda Howander. Josh Hartnett, Mackenzie Davis and Charlie Heaton lead this survival thriller.
