This week brings a fresh mix of thrillers, romance, horror, comedy and big returning shows across Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV and JioHotstar. From the Reacher spinoff Neagley and Slow Horses Season 6 to Lust Stories 3 and a new Stranger Things adventure, there is plenty to add to your OTT watchlist.
New OTT Releases This Week (September 14 – 20)
1. Neagley (Prime Video | September 16)
Frances Neagley, a former Army investigator now working as a private detective in Chicago, is forced to revisit her past after a close friend dies under suspicious circumstances. What begins as a personal search for answers soon points towards a dangerous organisation operating on a much bigger scale. Maria Sten leads this first Reacher spinoff, with Alan Ritchson appearing as Jack Reacher.
2. Lust Stories 3 (Netflix | September 18)
The popular anthology returns with four new stories looking at desire, relationships and intimacy in modern India. Filmmakers Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra and Vishal Bhardwaj each bring a different perspective, backed by an ensemble cast that includes Radhika Apte, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vijay Varma, Ali Fazal and Aditi Rao Hydari. The third instalment once again explores how complicated love can become behind closed doors.
3. Zakir Khan: Papa Yaar (Netflix | September 18)
Zakir Khan turns his attention towards his relationship with his father in his fourth Netflix stand-up special. He looks back at the distance and rebellion of childhood before reflecting on how adulthood changed his understanding of the man he once saw mainly as an authority figure. The special combines humour with personal memories about family, values and growing older.
4. The End of Oak Street (Prime Video, Apple TV & ZeePlex | September 15)
The Platt family wakes up one morning to discover that their entire suburban street has somehow been transported millions of years into the past. Houses and neighbours remain around them, but so do dinosaurs and the dangers of the Mesozoic era. Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor lead this survival adventure about ordinary families suddenly trapped in an impossible prehistoric world.
5. Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story (Netflix | September 17)
The fourth chapter of the Monster anthology revisits the infamous 1892 murders of Andrew and Abby Borden in Massachusetts. Ella Beatty plays Lizzie Borden, portrayed as a young woman living inside a deeply troubled household where repression and cruelty shape her world. The series turns the historic case into a dark psychological drama about family, suspicion and violence.
6. Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 Season 2 (Netflix | September 17)
The Hawkins Investigators Club has barely recovered from defeating the Horde Queen when another strange threat begins spreading through town. Ghostly sightings and dangerous hate sprites appear just as Valentine’s Day approaches, raising fears that another gateway to the Upside Down may be opening. The second and final season sends the animated spinoff back into Hawkins’ supernatural chaos.
7. Lee Cronin’s The Mummy (JioHotstar | September 17)
Charlie Cannon and his wife finally find their daughter Katie eight years after she vanished in Egypt, but the reunion quickly becomes terrifying. Katie has returned changed in ways they cannot explain, and it soon appears that something sinister may have come back with her. Director Lee Cronin turns the familiar mummy legend into a much more personal family horror story.
8. The Scandal (Netflix | September 18)
In Joseon-era society, Lady Cho challenges famous playboy Jo Won to seduce a young woman who is destined to become a concubine. He raises the stakes by choosing a more difficult target: Hui-yeon, a virtuous widow determined to protect her reputation. What begins as a cruel game of manipulation slowly becomes complicated when real feelings enter the picture.
9. You + Me – Against the World (Prime Video | September 18)
Alma comes from a wealthy family that believes she is studying law, while she is secretly trying to build a future in filmmaking. Her carefully managed life becomes more complicated when she is forced to work on a student film with Vadim, a rebellious classmate carrying troubles of his own. Their arguments gradually turn into attraction, but someone watching from the shadows may expose secrets capable of destroying the relationship.
10. The Doll (Netflix | September 16)
In 19th-century Warsaw, self-made merchant Stanisław Wokulski becomes deeply drawn to aristocrat Izabela Łęcka while trying to rise into the social class she belongs to. Their connection is complicated by money, status, obsession and Izabela’s own desire to escape the limits placed on her. The six-part drama turns their relationship into a larger story about love and class division.
11. Slow Horses Season 6 (Apple TV | September 16)
The agents of Slough House are pulled into another dangerous operation when revenge and retaliation begin threatening the team. Diana Taverner is at the centre of the growing conflict, while Sid Baker unexpectedly returns after being believed dead since the first season. Season 6 brings Gary Oldman and the familiar misfit MI5 crew back for another high-risk intelligence battle.
12. Not a Stranger (Netflix | September 17)
After becoming a mother, painter Funda puts her career aside and hires Nazlı to help care for her baby. The arrangement becomes frightening when the nanny’s unsettling behaviour begins revealing an unhealthy obsession with the child. As Nazlı’s hidden motives surface, Funda and her husband realise they may have invited a serious threat directly into their home.
From Neagley’s investigation and Slow Horses Season 6 to the horror of The Mummy and the relationships of Lust Stories 3, this week’s OTT lineup offers plenty of variety.
