Internet Calls Shah Rukh The Backbone Of Yash Raj Films After Netflix’s The Romantics Go Viral

Recently, Netflix paid a tribute to the one of the Indian film industry’s finest directors – Yash Chopra. The documentary, The Romantics, is a celebration of late Yash Chopra and his production house – Yash Raj Films. And, since the time, the series hit the OTT, internet is continuously buzzing about it. The Romantics captured the interviews with the most celebrated names in the Bollywood.

The highlight of this four part documentary is an extensive interview of Aditya Chopra – who has never done an on-cam interview before.

Other than Aditya Chopra, there has been a special segment where Shah Rukh Khan spilled a lot of beans about working with Aditya Chopra and Yash Raj Films.

Do you know it was Aditya Chopra who was behind SRK’s popular “K-K-K-Kiran” stammer? SRK also shared how even though he was keen to do action movies, it was Aditya who saw him as a romantic hero.

Before Aditya approached SRK for Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, the actor shared, “Adi used to tell me, ‘Your eyes have something that cannot be just wasted on action’.”

It was Aditya who made Shah Rukh Khan realize that if he needs to be superstar in India, he needs to look beyond being an action hero.

In the interview Aditya Chopra remembered how he told SRK, “In this country, a superstar will only be that person who will be every mother’s son, every sister’s brother, and every college girl’s fantasy’.”

After watching the series, many netizens took to social media to express their views about the docu-series.

According to him, the heart of Yash Raj Films is Yash Chopra, the brain is Aditya Chopra, and the backbone is Shah Rukh Khan. The tweet in no time went viral.

And, there have been many who agreed to his analogy. It’s no surprise that Shah Rukh Khan has been associated with Yash Raj Films for decades now. He has worked with this father-son duo on multiple projects and delivered some of the most successful movies of all time. Shah Rukh Khan’s first movie under YRF’s banner was Darr (1993). He played a negative role as Rahul Mehra and left everyone stunned. From Darr to Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan has given some of his finest work under YRF banner.
