1. Bandar (ZEE5, August 28)
Bobby Deol leads Anurag Kashyap’s crime thriller, where an accusation opens up difficult questions about reputation, media pressure and justice. As public judgment grows, the story moves into uncomfortable territory where finding the truth may be far more complicated than it first appears. Sanya Malhotra, Saba Azad and Sapna Pabbi also feature in the film.
2. The Whisper Man (Netflix, August 28)
A widowed crime writer faces every parent’s nightmare when his young son is abducted. With nowhere else to turn, he seeks help from his estranged father, a retired detective whose experience could connect the kidnapping to a terrifying serial killer case. Robert De Niro, Adam Scott and Michelle Monaghan star in this dark thriller adapted from Alex North’s bestselling novel.
3. Gandhari (Netflix, September 3)
After losing her eyesight and having her daughter kidnapped, a mother refuses to remain powerless while others decide what happens next. She sets out to find those responsible herself, turning her grief into a dangerous search for revenge and answers. Taapsee Pannu leads this dark thriller centred on a mother’s determination to fight back.
4. I, Nobody (JioHotstar, August 25)
An ordinary man’s life takes a dangerous turn when he gets caught inside a world of heists, action and uncertain identities. Staying alive becomes increasingly difficult as the situation around him grows more complicated and risky. Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy Thiruvothu lead this Malayalam action thriller arriving on JioHotstar after its theatrical run.
5. A.S.I. Babita Singh Reporting (Prime Video, August 28)
An underestimated police officer expects a family visit to take her away from work, but a murder suddenly gives her a real case to solve. As Babita quietly searches for answers, the investigation begins exposing secrets that are uncomfortably close to her own life. Nimisha Sajayan, Barun Sobti and Anshumaan Pushkar star in this crime mystery mixing family tensions with police investigation.
6. Alpha (Netflix, Expected August 28)
A trained assassin begins questioning the world that created her after painful secrets from her past come to light. Her search for the truth puts her against a dangerous enemy connected to the same system, turning the conflict into something deeply personal. Alia Bhatt and Sharvari lead this YRF Spy Universe action thriller, with Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor also playing important roles.
7. The Gentlemen Season 2 (Netflix, September 3)
Eddie and Susie decide that England is no longer big enough for their criminal ambitions and begin taking their operation into international territory. Expanding the empire brings unfamiliar enemies, risky partnerships and much bigger consequences than the dangers they faced before. Theo James and Kaya Scodelario return for a second season where more power also means more ways for everything to go wrong.
8. The Revolutionaries (Prime Video, September 11)
A group of young Indians chooses to challenge British rule despite knowing that rebellion could demand the ultimate sacrifice. Inspired by Sanjeev Sanyal’s book, the historical drama follows their courage, determination and willingness to risk everything for freedom. Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta and Gurfateh Pirzada lead the Nikkhil Advani-directed series.
9. Slow Horses Season 6 (Apple TV, September 16)
Jackson Lamb and the unwanted MI5 agents working out of Slough House are once again pulled into a mission where mistakes could have dangerous consequences. After surviving kidnappings, conspiracies, betrayals and intelligence disasters in earlier seasons, the group must prove again that being rejected by the agency does not make them useless. Gary Oldman returns as Lamb for another high-risk chapter.
10. Hum Hindustani (Netflix, TBA)
In the years after Independence, India faces the enormous challenge of organising its first general election across a newly formed nation still recovering from Partition. Officials must find a way to bring millions of citizens into the democratic process despite the scale and uncertainty surrounding the task. Saif Ali Khan, Pratik Gandhi and Deepak Dobriyal star in this historical drama about a defining moment in India’s democracy.
11. Mess (Prime Video, TBA)
A group of robbers enters the home of a man with OCD believing they are in control of an easy crime. Instead, the robbery stretches into a bizarre overnight standoff where the intruders gradually realise that they may be the ones who should be afraid. Pratik Gandhi leads this unusual thriller-comedy that turns one house into a tense game of survival.
12. Legacy (Netflix, TBA)
A powerful crime empire begins to fracture when the question of who should inherit control creates divisions among those closest to it. Ambition quickly puts family ties and old loyalties under pressure, turning succession into an increasingly dangerous struggle for power. R Madhavan leads the Tamil crime drama alongside Nimisha Sajayan, Gulshan Devaiah and Abhishek Banerjee.
