Recently, a YouTuber named Sham Sharma shared a video titled ‘Avatar | How India Is Inspiring Hollywood And The World’. In the video, Sham is heard saying how he believes that the Hollywood filmmaker, James Cameron, may have been inspired by Lord Ram, Krishna, and Shiva for the blue bodies of the characters. The video has left the internet divided. Some netizens took to social media to share how Cameron had himself admitted the same while others believe that the concept of immortality is not just part of Hindu mythology.

Though the video has left the internet divided, as per media report, in 2010, James Cameron spoke about his love for Hindu mythology and said he might have been subconsciously inspired by it. While talking about Avatar, James Cameron said, “It’s an incarnation of one of the Hindu gods taking a flesh form. In this film what that means is that the human technology in the future is capable of injecting a human’s intelligence into a remotely located body, a biological body.”
