Youtuber Dhruv Rathee Calls Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ A Cancer

In the viral video titled ‘Animal: The Worst Movie of 2023?’, Rathee discusses the film’s problematic aspects, exploring broader societal issues such as alpha male notions and the mindset of the audience attracted to such movies.

Citing research reports, he highlights how all crimes against women stem from a regressive belief system that propagates the idea of women being inferior to men. This belief is heavily promoted by Ranbir Kapoor’s character in ‘Animal.’

Ranbir Kapoor’s character crosses every boundary to disrespect women

Rathee critiques Ranbir Kapoor’s character in ‘Animal,’ emphasizing instances of physical abuse towards his wife, ridiculing menstrual discomfort, and demanding his lover to do demeaning acts to show her love. He points out that such behaviors could have been somewhat justified if the film had depicted Ranbir’s character as mentally ill or later undergoing a positive transformation. However, the movie instead glorifies toxicity and misogyny without any form of remorse.
