Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s spy thriller Alpha is expected to make its digital debut after completing its theatrical run. Alpha follows Sita, played by Alia Bhatt, a highly trained assassin whose extraordinary abilities are connected to a secret Regenerative Serum Programme. Her understanding of her past is shattered when she discovers that Colonel Fateh Singh Lakhawat, the man she believed was her father, had actually kidnapped her as a child and raised her as part of a classified experiment.
Determined to uncover the truth and destroy Fateh’s criminal organisation, Sita joins forces with her sister Durga, played by Sharvari. Together, the two women confront a heavily armed network while navigating dangerous missions, shocking betrayals and secrets connected to Sita’s childhood.

Alia Bhatt leads the film as Sita, while Sharvari plays her sister Durga. Bobby Deol appears as Colonel Fateh Singh Lakhawat, the powerful antagonist responsible for Sita’s kidnapping and involvement in the secret experiment.
The film also features Anil Kapoor in an important role. Hrithik Roshan makes a special appearance as his character from War, strengthening the film’s connection with the larger YRF Spy Universe.

Alpha Box Office Performance

According to Sacnilk, the spy thriller collected approximately Rs 55.2 crore net in India after nearly two weeks in cinemas. Its domestic gross collection reportedly reached around Rs 65.7 crore.
The film also earned more than Rs 26 crore from international markets, taking its worldwide gross collection beyond Rs 92 crore.
Alpha OTT Release Date: When & Where To Watch?
Alpha is expected to stream exclusively on Netflix. While neither Yash Raj Films nor Netflix has officially confirmed the streaming platform, reports suggest that Netflix has secured the movie’s post-theatrical digital rights. The platform’s branding reportedly appears in the film’s opening credits, further indicating that it will be the movie’s OTT destination.
Hindi movies generally make their streaming debut around six to eight weeks after their theatrical release. Based on this usual window, Alpha could arrive on Netflix sometime in late August or early September 2026.
Some reports have suggested that the makers may consider an August 15, 2026 digital premiere because of the film’s spy theme and patriotic backdrop. However, this date has not been officially announced by Yash Raj Films or Netflix and should be treated only as speculation.
With Alia Bhatt and Sharvari leading the YRF Spy Universe’s first female-driven mission, Alpha may find a larger audience once it becomes available for streaming. Viewers waiting to watch the action thriller at home should look out for an official announcement from Netflix or the filmmakers.
