Don’t Say Good Luck follows Sophie Birenbaum, played by Sunny Sandler, a high-school theatre kid who is preparing to take centre stage in her school’s production of Waitress. Balancing teenage friendships, first relationships, theatre and a devastating family crisis, Sophie is forced to grow up much faster than expected. 6. Welcome to the Jungle

Welcome to the Jungle takes the franchise’s trademark chaos into an even bigger ensemble comedy. The story revolves around a dishonest businessman who tries to convert illegal money into legitimate funds by financing a movie he is convinced will fail. He deliberately gathers an incompetent director and an eccentric collection of actors, criminals and crew members, but the production spirals completely out of control after moving to a forest village. When the locals mistake the film crew for soldiers and actual terrorists arrive in the area, their fake mission suddenly becomes dangerously real.
JioHotstar is expected to stream the Akshay Kumar-led comedy following its theatrical run. While August 21 has been circulating as a possible date, an official digital premiere date has not yet been announced.
7. The Last Sunrise

Romance fans also have The Last Sunrise to look forward to on Prime Video. Based on the novel by Anna Todd, the film follows Ry, a young American woman dealing with serious health challenges who travels to Mallorca with her mother. Starring Maia Reficco, Fernando Lindez and Eva Longoria, the movie blends a picturesque European setting with romance, family expectations and the uncertainty of how much time two people may actually have together.
8. The Whisper Man

Based on Alex North’s bestselling novel, The Whisper Man looks set to be one of August’s most chilling thrillers. After his young son is abducted, a widowed crime writer turns to his estranged father, a retired detective, for help. Their search leads back to a disturbing decades-old investigation involving a convicted serial killer known as the Whisper Man. With Robert De Niro, Adam Scott and Michelle Monaghan leading the cast, this dark mystery promises kidnappings, buried secrets and a case that may not have ended when everyone thought it did.
9. Alpha

After its theatrical run, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s Alpha is expected to make its OTT debut on Netflix. The YRF Spy Universe film follows Sita, played by Alia Bhatt, who was taken from her family as a child and raised by Lt Col Fateh Singh Lakhawat as part of a secret programme designed to turn her into a highly trained assassin. Enhanced through the Alpha programme, she eventually discovers the truth about her childhood and her connection with Durga, played by Sharvari. The revelation sends the two women on a dangerous mission against the programme that shaped their lives.
Several reports suggest that the movie could arrive on Netflix by the end of August.
