Like many of us, are you also scared of growing old?

If you also perceive that old age is a time when we are devoid of every good thing – dreams, sweets, beautiful skin, spicy food, passion, and joy. Then, you would love this story as much as we do!

Though we all have heard the quote – Age is just a number – a million times, we never believed it.

But, recently, many women are taking the center stage to shatter the age-old norms about growing old. They are making us believe that passion knows no age no gender.

At any age, we can be what we want to be. We can choose to be a grumpy old lady or a young dreamer, who is still full of life and has the desire to explore the world.

And one such woman was seen on the national television channel recently. She was seen cheering for Dhoni during an IPL match between Chennai Super Kings & Mumbai Indians.

The lady had a banner throughout the IPL match that said, ‘I am here only for Dhoni’.

Admiring the passion that she has for cricket and his talent, Dhoni came down from the CSK dressing room and spent some time with her.

Though he might have lost the match to Mumbai Indians, he definitely won hearts when he met the elderly lady.

After the match, the IPL’s official twitter handle shared a video of Dhoni where he is seen coming down the stairs of the Wankhede dressing room and meeting the elderly lady.

Though the netizens across the nation are celebrating the gesture of Dhoni to come down to meet this elderly lady, we couldn’t get over this lady’s passion!

And, this is not the first time we are celebrating a woman, who has made an attempt to break the boring notion of getting old.

Man Kaur is 102, but she is showing no signs of stopping as far as achievements are concerned.

Already having a plethora of medals in competitions for those over 100 years of age, she added one more feather to her cap last year.

This 102-year-old athlete made the country proud by winning a gold medal at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Spain. She won the 200m race medal in the age group of 100 – 104.

We want to thank and celebrate these women for shattering the boring narration about growing old and making us feel excited about our next phases of life.

P.S.

Dear Her,

If you know anyone – your friend, your mother, your aunt or your sister, who needs to know growing old doesn’t mean that we have to give up on our dreams and on our passion, then please share!

Let’s Spread Hope & Happiness!
