It is disgusting how even in 21st century, Bollywood’s regressive sexist movies do much better than progressive women-centric movies. The box office collections of these blatant sexist movies in comparison to the progressive women-centric movies reveal the ugly truth about Bollywood and society in general!
It is heartbreaking how female-led movies failed to make the same collection at the Box Office as a regressive, sexist film with a male protagonist. It is high time that before blaming Bollywood for giving us regressive movies, we should acknowledge how we incentivize Bollywood to make these sub-standard regressive movies!
