Some Netflix shows arrived quietly but became much more enjoyable once their stories opened up. Crime, romance, family drama, comedy and inspiring real-life struggles all found a place in this mix, giving us several Indian series that stayed with us after the credits rolled.
12 Best Indian Shows of 2026 on Netflix
1. Kohrra Season 2
Nothing about the murder in Dalerpura is simple because the people surrounding the victim are carrying years of resentment, grief and unfinished relationships. Amarpal Garundi and Dhanwant Kaur must separate those emotions from the facts while their own troubled lives keep entering the investigation. Instead of rushing towards the killer, the season slowly reveals how much damage can remain hidden inside families.
2. Shaque: Trust No One
For nine years, a mother has lived with the uncertainty of not knowing what happened to the baby taken from a hospital. A set of photographs suddenly gives her reason to believe her daughter survived, sending her back through a mystery she thought had gone cold. The new clues become frightening when they suggest the answers may lie among people already close to her.
3. Chumbak
Privacy is almost impossible when five families share life inside an old Mumbai row-house. A marriage issue in one home, a parenting problem in another or a disagreement between neighbours can quickly become everyone’s concern, creating both laughter and emotional moments. Across these everyday problems, the residents slowly form the kind of bond that makes the entire colony feel like one unpredictable family.
4. #Love
Two dating-app founders who make a business out of matching people cannot even agree on why relationships work. Tara believes compatibility can be measured, while Matthew trusts chemistry, so they turn themselves into the subjects of a 60-day experiment. The plan becomes much less scientific once feelings begin developing between them.
5. Glory
A boxer’s unexplained death pulls two brothers back towards a family and sporting world from which they had grown apart. Searching for the person responsible means looking closely at the rivalries, corruption and secrets surrounding their father’s boxing centre. The case becomes harder when the brothers realise that solving the murder may also force them to reopen their own painful history.
6. Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web
Stopping contraband at the airport is only the beginning for a Mumbai Customs team trying to reach the people running the larger operation. The smugglers repeatedly appear one step ahead, raising an uncomfortable possibility that someone inside the system may be helping them. That suspicion turns the case into a battle where identifying the enemy becomes almost as important as catching the syndicate.
7. Musafir Cafe
Chander, Sudha and Preeti are all standing at difficult points in their lives when their paths begin crossing between Bhopal and Mussoorie. Love, separation and expectations from other people force each of them to ask whether they are choosing their own future or simply accepting the life expected of them. The eight episodes connect their stories through a quiet search for freedom, belonging and peace.
8. Maamla Legal Hai Season 2
At Patparganj District Court, even an ordinary case can become complicated once its colourful lawyers and unpredictable clients get involved. The second season brings new legal problems while allowing rivalries, relationships and personal issues outside court to interfere with professional life. Much of the comedy comes from watching serious legal work collide with very human confusion.
9. Super Subbu
Subbu arrives in a conservative village with perhaps the most uncomfortable teaching assignment possible for someone who is himself inexperienced with adult life. Explaining sex education openly creates gossip, embarrassment and resistance, while his strict father makes the situation even tougher. His struggle to teach what nobody wants to discuss becomes the main source of the Telugu comedy’s humour.
10. Operation Safed Sagar
Young pilots from the Golden Arrows Squadron are given a mission where extreme altitude makes an already dangerous military operation even more difficult. The series follows not only what happens in the air but also the fear, responsibility and sacrifice carried by those taking part. Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill and Abhay Verma lead this drama inspired by the Indian Air Force’s role during the Kargil War.
11. Gurthukosthunnayi
Santosh wakes up disconnected from the life he once knew because years of memories, including his school days and relationship with Vaishali, have disappeared. Friends and family try to help by taking him back to familiar people, places and experiences that may unlock something inside him. His recovery becomes an emotional journey of meeting his own past almost like a stranger.
12. The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 5
Kapil Sharma is back at the centre of another season built around celebrity conversations, comic sketches and playful roasting. Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Archana Puran Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu return as part of the ensemble, with the show wrapped around the festive idea of “Hasi Ka Tyo-haha-har.” The familiar format once again depends on quick banter and the chemistry between its comedy regulars.
Whether you prefer a tense mystery, an emotional drama or something light and funny, these shows offered very different reasons to keep coming back for another episode.
