We have heard so many stories about in-laws harassing their daughters-in-law or bahus.
But, recently we came across an incident that has given us a ray of hope that our society is changing.
The father of a 40-year-old son called the police to arrest who was molesting his brother’s wife on Thursday morning.
According to Times of India, when 74-year-old father found his son harassing his brother’s wife, he immediately intervened. When the father threatened to call the cops, his son lost his control and began beating his father with a bamboo stick.
He, allegedly, went further ahead to attack his father with a knife while other family members came forward to stop him.
The incident happened at Haroakhal area in Rajarhat, Kolkata.
It is hurting to see a father-in-law standing up to protect the bahu from his own son.
With increasing crimes against daughters, every parent of a girl child wonder if they could ever feel safe for their daughters in this country.
