One such case of toxic masculinity surfaced when a neurosurgeon shared on social media how she was shamed by a guy, whom she had rejected 7 years ago. In her thread, she mentioned how this toxic man messaged her to shame her for her single status while bragging about having a “beautiful wife”.
And, when she ignored his messages and chose not to reply, he remarked, “same attitude huh”. It is quite disgusting how this insecure man not only brags about having a “beautiful wife” but also dares to contact a woman who rejected him ages ago and shame her. Here’s the viral tweet:

One thing our society hates more than a woman is a Single woman! Our marriage-obsessed society couldn’t stand a woman, who chose to prioritize herself and her dreams over marriage. From shaming to emotional blackmail, single women are subject to face so many traumatic events if they chose to remain unmarried. It is sad how even in the 21st century, our society believes that it has the birthright to control women and their way of living.
