Kaun Banega Crorepati has given us inspiring stories of many real heroes, who have fought their circumstances to create an extraordinary life. Recently, one such inspiring real hero – IPS officer Mohita Sharma Garg, became a new crorepati in the recent episodes.
Here are some of the reasons why IPS officer Mohita Sharma Garg touched our hearts and inspired us in so many ways:
1. Uniform is Her IDENTITY
The Assistant Superintendent of Police, who supervises two police stations in Bari Brahmana, Jammu, takes pride in her Khakhi uniform. Her immense sense of duty was quite evident with her beautifully recited poem:
Lagta hai ye josh us sher ka hai,
Jo saja rehta hai mastak par.
Ya ho sakta hai, ye aashirwaad ho un taaro ka,
Jo timtimate hai humare kandho par.
2. Fighting Her Life Circumstances Like A Boss
She shared her inspiring journey from being pressured to study engineering to finding her own path. It was during her fourth year of engineering, that her college principal suggested her to clear UPSC exams. To work on this goal, she gave up 3 placement offers.
After 5 years without any coaching (due to financial issues), she made it through. Even now she is pursuing Environment Law and wants to become a National Security Advisor like Ajit Doval.
3. Her Gratitude Towards Her Parents
Describing her parents as “the brand ambassadors of बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढ़ाओ”, she shared how her parents struggled to raise their only child. Her father, who was given voluntary retirement in 2001, made sure that he supports his daughter’s UPSC dreams.
4. Being A Supportive & Loving Wife
It touched the hearts of many, when Mohita (or ‘Mitu’) shared how she met her husband Rushal (an IFS officer currently serving as the Assistant Conservator of the Forest in Jammu) last year through an arranged marriage set up. She shared when she found out about her husband’s attempts to be on the show, she also committed herself to her husband’s dream!
She says,
“जब से उन्होंने मुझे बताया, उनका सपना मेरा सपना हो गया ।” (Ever since he told me, his dream became my dream)
