As he tries to deal with the legal and emotional fallout, the film examines how quickly reputations can collapse once allegations enter the public domain. Through its central character, Bandar attempts to explore themes around accusation, consent, social judgement and the #MeTooForMen conversation.

Bobby Deol headlines Bandar, taking on one of the more emotionally demanding roles of his recent career. The film also stars Sanya Malhotra, Sapna Pabbi and Saba Azad in important parts.
The movie is directed by Anurag Kashyap, known for films built around morally complicated characters and uncomfortable social realities. Bobby Deol has also spoken about how the project challenged him as an actor and required him to approach the character differently from many of his recent roles.

Bandar now has a confirmed streaming date. The Bobby Deol-starrer will premiere on ZEE5 on August 28, 2026.
The digital release comes after the film’s theatrical journey and will make the Anurag Kashyap directorial available to a much wider audience across the streaming platform.
