Drishyam 2’s strong box-office performance has given Bollywood the lifeline that it was waiting for a long time. This Ajay Devgn-Tabu-Akshaye starrer has not only left its audience surprised but also the makers couldn’t believe the response the movie is receiving across the country.

Recently in an interview with Etimes, Drishyam 2 director Abhishek Pathak shared how the movie has performed beyond his expectations. During the interaction, he said, “It is overwhelming! I knew I made an honest film that was not a blind remake of the original. Everyone in my team worked really hard on this. I expected the first-day collections to be good. But then it has just gone beyond my expectations. I am really happy.”
Many film analysts took to social media to share the exemplary performance of Drishyam 2. They shared how the movie had a massive opening weekend as it managed to earn Rs 70 crores.
