Ikkis Movie Plot
Ikkis is inspired by the incredible real-life story of Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. The film focuses on his heroic role in the 1971 Indo-Pak War, with special emphasis on the historic Battle of Basantar.
At just 21 years of age, Arun Khetarpal showed extraordinary courage by taking on enemy tanks in the middle of intense combat. He lost his life on the battlefield, but his fearless actions earned him India’s highest military honour and immortalised his legacy.
Beyond large-scale tank battles, the film also explores Arun’s personal journey – from his days at the National Defence Academy to his emotional bonds with family and a gentle love story that adds warmth to the narrative.

The film features Agastya Nanda in the role of Arun Khetarpal, marking his first major theatrical release after The Archies. Dharmendra essays the role of M.L. Khetarpal, Arun’s father, in what also becomes his final cinematic appearance, adding deep emotional weight to the film. The cast further includes Jaideep Ahlawat as a Pakistani Army officer, Sikandar Kher as an Indian Army officer, Ekavali Khanna as Maryam Nisar, and Simar Bhatia as Kiran, along with Kunal Mann, Shree Bishnoi, Mohan Godara, and Aryan Pushkar in pivotal supporting roles.
Box Office Performance: Hit or Miss?
Ikkis opened with strong emotional reviews and positive word-of-mouth, especially for its performances and war sequences.
