Internet Calls Anupam Kher ‘Megastar’ As Uunchai Rocks BO Post Kashmir Files & Karthikeya 2

In the times, when superstars are failing miserably at the box office, there is one actor who has three hits to his name in 2022. And, that name is Anupam Kher. Anupam Kher’s The Kashmir Files turned out to be a blockbuster that earned Rs 340.92 crore at the worldwide box office.

While the world was celebrating his excellence, he once again featured in a special role in the Telugu film Karthikeya 2. This movie turned out to be a huge success in Telugu as well as in Hindi.

And, now with his third release Uunchai, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan & Boman Irani, once again Anupam Kher has left his audience impressed.

Sooraj Barjatya’s directorial had a limited release on almost 490 screens across India. And, with the sold-out shows, it looks like the makers’ strategy might have worked.

Though the movie witnessed a low opening, the movie saw a 100% rise in the collection on the second day. And by the end of 3rd day, the movie managed a double-digit opening weekend, which has been really difficult for many big-budget releases this year.

With day 4 turning out to be better than day 1, the chances are high that the movie will surely perform better now. Tweeting about the success of the movie, Taran Adarsh wrote, “#Uunchai maintains a strong grip on Day 4… Passes the crucial make-or-break Mon test… Mon HIGHER than Fri, despite reduced ticket rates on weekdays… Evening shows witness better occupancy… Fri 1.81 cr, Sat 3.64 cr, Sun 4.71 cr, Mon 1.88 cr. To which, many netizens hailed Anupam Kher as the “megastar” of 2022.
