Idli Kadai (Netflix | OTT Release Date: October 29)

Dhanush wears the hats of writer, director, and lead actor in this slice-of-life drama about ambition, identity, and rediscovering one’s roots. After chasing big-city dreams, his character learns that success doesn’t always taste the way you expect – sometimes it’s as simple and comforting as a plate of idli! With a talented cast featuring Nithya Menen, Arun Vijay, Sathyaraj, and Samuthirakani, Idli Kadai promises warmth, nostalgia, and Dhanush’s trademark emotional touch.

Kantara Chapter 1 (Amazon Prime | OTT Release Date: October 31)

Rishab Shetty’s prequel to the 2022 phenomenon takes us back to the 4th century, exploring the divine conflict between the people of Kantara and the king of Bangra. Expect grandeur, mythology, and Rishab’s signature storytelling that blends folklore with cinematic magic. The cast includes Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, and Jayaram, among others. Maarigallu (Zee5 | OTT Release Date: October 31)

Zee5’s third Kannada original this year is a mystery-thriller laced with history, treasure hunts, and deception. Directed by Devaraj Poojary, Maarigallu revolves around a lost treasure from the Kadamba dynasty and a group of seekers drawn into a dangerous game. Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra (JioHotstar | OTT Release Date: October 31)

A stunning reimagining of the myth of Kalliyankattu Neeli, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra combines folklore, fantasy, and female power in one gorgeous package.
