Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s much-awaited romantic comedy, Param Sundari, finally hit theatres on August 29, 2025. The film has been making waves ever since its announcement, thanks to its soulful songs and fresh pairing. Produced by Maddock Films, the makers had also revealed the OTT partner before the release, making fans eager for its digital premiere.

Set against the lush and picturesque backwaters of Kerala, Param Sundari tells the story of a cross-cultural romance between two opposites. Sidharth plays Param Sachdev, a free-spirited young man from Delhi, while Janhvi portrays Thekkepattu Sundari Damodaram Pillai, a disciplined and determined woman from Kerala. Their contrasting backgrounds spark a love story filled with cultural clashes, emotional resistance, and humorous twists. At its heart, the film explores how love can bridge differences while challenging age-old traditions and expectations.

Box Office Collection
According to Sacnilk, Param Sundari had a decent opening at the domestic box office. On day one, the film earned ₹7.25 crore, and on day two, it showed growth by collecting ₹9.25 crore. This takes the total to ₹16.5 crore in just two days. With positive word of mouth and strong music appeal, the film is expected to maintain steady growth over the first weekend.
Param Sundari OTT Release Date
Originally slated for July 25, 2025, the theatrical release was shifted to August to avoid heavy competition. Following its cinema run, Param Sundari is set to premiere on Prime Video in October 2025, around eight weeks after its big-screen debut. Fans who missed it in theatres won’t have to wait too long to enjoy this rom-com at home.
