The whole country celebrated Harnaaz Sandhu when she brought the Miss Universe crown back home after 21 years. The last time, Lara Dutta was honoured with it in 2000.
From Sushmita to Aishwarya to Priyanka to Lara, the sisterhood celebrated Harnaaz Sandhu and her magnificient achievement!
After knowing that the crown is back home, Lara Dutta Bhupathi was elated. While sharing her happinesss, she told Bombay Time “I’m overjoyed and thrilled at Harnaaz’s win at Miss Universe! She was a strong contender throughout and was an exemplary representative for India on the world stage! After 21 long years, it’s a billion dreams come true! I wish her a glorious reign ahead and many great adventures as the new Miss Universe.”

Dia Mirza, who was crowned Miss Asia Pacific in 2000, also posted a shout-out for Harnaaz Sandhu: “What a spectacular feeling and moment this is. Miss India wins Miss Universe after 21 years after Lara Dutta,” she wrote in an Instagram story.
