Even though parents have our best interest at heart, when it comes to marriage, they often end up teaching us things that aren’t always healthy to follow. It is sad how even in 21st century, many parents tend to raise their daughters as selfless beings, who are expected to dedicate their lives to their husbands. They are told to do everything that it takes to make their marriage work. And, that’s the reason why there are so many women who sacrifice themselves for the sake of marriage. We hope parents stop raising daughters with marriage as an end goal. We need to stop telling our daughters that marriage complete them. With o without marriage, we are complete.
